Job summary

Unifeye Vision Partners (UVP) is hiring a full-time Medical Billing (AR) Specialist. This role is fully remote and supports ophthalmology billing with a focus on accuracy and payer requirements.

The successful candidate will submit professional and institutional claims, review accounts, and resolve denials, ensuring HIPAA-compliant processes while collaborating with clinical and administrative teams. Starting pay is $22.00–$24.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or certification preferred.
• 2+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting (ophthalmology or specialty care a plus).
• Strong understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems.

Responsibilities

• Submit professional and/or institutional claims to payers electronically or on paper when needed.
• Review patient accounts for accuracy and compliance with guidelines.
• Troubleshoot claim rejections and denials; prepare appeal letters as needed.
