Job summary

Moffitt is hiring a Cash Application Specialist for a remote-eligible position. The role focuses on applying cash and maintaining AR aging, balancing to bank summaries, and posting deposits. Strong Excel skills, EOB/835 knowledge, and hospital cash posting experience are required.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, at least two years in hospital cash posting, and one year in customer service. This is a full-time role supporting our Florida operations.

Qualifications

• Strong Excel skills and ability to read and interpret EOBs and 835 remits.
• Experience performing hospital/physician cash posting and customer service.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel.

Responsibilities

• Balance each payment batch after posting.
• Post all cash received from previous day’s deposits timely.
• Ensure patient/secondary payer responsibility is transferred correctly.
• Verify deposits and download reconciliations from the prior day.
• Scan and organize documents into daily cash folder.
• Post $0.00 payments on denials.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
