Job summary

Northbeam is seeking a Data Scientist to join our Applied Measurement team and scale our incrementality and measurement products for real-world clients. You’ll work at the intersection of data science, causal inference, and production engineering, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate blends strong statistical foundations with a service mindset, thrives in a fast-paced startup, and is comfortable moving between modeling, software development, and direct customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a highly quantitative field.
• 2+ years building and deploying data science or ML systems in production.
• Strong foundation in statistics, ML, experimentation and causal inference.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to explain methods to non-technical audiences.
• Strong coding and debugging skills; production-quality code across the stack.
• Service-oriented mindset; comfortable solving real customer problems.
• Growth mindset and adaptability in a startup environment.
• Experience in digital marketing or ecommerce analytics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with customers and internal teams to translate questions into data science problems.
• Work with real-world customer data ensuring reliability for modeling.
• Analyze model and experiment results and diagnose issues.
• Translate statistical results into clear, actionable insights.
• Collaborate with senior data scientists on complex problems and tooling.
• Identify recurring challenges to improve models, diagnostics, and processes.
• Build reusable analysis tools to improve measurement scalability.
• Contribute to new methodologies, models, and production capabilities over time.
