Job summary

Northbeam is seeking a Data Scientist to join the Applied Measurement team. You will scale incrementality and measurement products, working at the intersection of data science, causal inference, and customer problems.

You will collaborate with cross-functional partners, explain methodology to clients, and contribute to new measurement tooling while delivering production-ready solutions in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field; MS preferred.
• 2+ years building and deploying data science or ML systems in production.
• Strong stats, ML, experimentation, and causal inference foundations.
• Clear communication to non-technical stakeholders.
• Production-grade coding and debugging across data pipelines and models.
• Service mindset with direct customer problem solving.
• Startup pace adaptability and autonomy.
• Interest in digital marketing or eCommerce analytics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with customers and internal teams to translate questions into data science problems.
• Work with real-world customer data, ensuring reliability for modeling.
• Analyze model and experiment results and investigate issues.
• Translate results into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with senior data scientists on complex problems.
• Identify recurring challenges and improve tooling and processes.
• Build reusable analysis and diagnostic tools for scalable measurement.
• Contribute to new methodologies and production capabilities.
