Job summary

Hollis & Co is offering two paid internship openings for AI-trained early-career engineers to build practical software. Roles are remote, with scope, duration, hours and start date discussed during selection.

You will work under supervision on real projects, learning disciplined engineering practices and contributing to frontend, API and automation tasks. We value candidates with AI coursework or applied projects, and emphasize responsible AI use, testing and secure handling of data.

Qualifications

• AI or ML coursework or training completed.
• Understanding of APIs, data handling and basic testing.
• Awareness of model limitations and need for human review.
• Clear communication and curiosity; fintech experience not required.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to scoped frontend, API and automation tasks under engineering supervision.
• Prototype AI-assisted tools using approved models, synthetic data and documented evaluation criteria.
• Review AI-generated code for correctness, security and maintainability.
• Write tests, investigate defects and document implementation choices and limitations.
• Use Git, pull requests and peer review; production changes require authorized review and release.
• Protect client and company information. Do not put confidential data into unapproved AI tools or automate compliance decisions.
