Job summary

Shure Incorporated offers a twelve-week summer internship program for undergraduate and graduate students. Interns may be onsite, remote, or hybrid within the US, with a housing stipend for onsite roles in Illinois.

The role focuses on developing and testing platform-independent middleware to control audio products and networking tech, under supervision of an Engineering Manager and mentor. Responsibilities include prototyping with TypeScript, Angular, NodeJS, and C++, and producing high-quality

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Software Engineering or related field.
Minimum of two years of engineering coursework.
Understanding of software design principles; ability to decompose large systems into manageable subsystems.
Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and/or C++ is a plus.
Familiar with writing unit tests to ensure high quality code.

Responsibilities

Implement business logic for OS-independent application software that controls audio products and DSP software.
Prototype application software using TypeScript, Angular, NodeJS, C++.
Design, create, and test high quality code.
Estimate, organize, and document tasks under mentor supervision.
Perform other duties as assigned.
