Job summary

Shure offers a twelve-week Summer 2027 internship for undergraduate and graduate students. You will assist with developing and testing platform-independent middleware that controls audio products and networking technologies under the guidance of an Engineering Manager and a mentor.

Internships can be remote or hybrid, based in Niles, IL, with onsite options; housing stipends are provided for Illinois onsite internships.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Software Engineering or related field with coursework.
• Understanding of software design principles such as separation of concerns, high cohesion, and low coupling.
• Experience with Javascript/Typescript is a plus; C++ and Angular are pluses; familiarity with unit testing.

Responsibilities

• Implement OS-independent application software that controls audio products and DSP software.
• Prototype using Typescript, Angular, NodeJS, and C++.
• Design, create, and test high-quality code.
• Estimate, organize, and document tasks with mentors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
