Job summary

BMA is seeking an Application Database Administrator to support the AMPS effort within the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). The Application Database Administrator will provide all activities related to the administration of database schemas and their objects.

The role is fully remote. Responsibilities include designing, creating, and maintaining database schemas, auditing schemas for data and permissions, advising users on access, and implementing secure, scalable schema objects while applying

Qualifications

• Five (5) years progressive experience with Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL Server, and MS Access.
• At least three years hands-on experience in database schema management.
• Experience on two projects in a large organization administering, operating, maintaining, and securing a large-scale database.
• Sensitivity Level: IT-II – Critical Sensitive
• Clearance: Secret IA Level: IAT II
• Computing Environment: OCA18 or relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.

Responsibilities

• Designs, creates, and maintains database schemas in a client/server environment.
• Conducts quality control and auditing of database schemas to ensure accurate data and permissions.
• Advises users on access to various client/server databases.
• Designs, implements, and maintains complex database schema objects with respect to user requirements and security.
• Applies knowledge of database technologies, development methodologies, and front-end programming languages (e.g., SQL).
• Performs database programming and supports systems design.
