Cogent Analytics is seeking an Experienced Appliance Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of household appliances. This full-time, field-based role is performed remotely with on-site requirements in the Flint area, traveling to the office several times per week.

You will work independently in the field, using your technical expertise to troubleshoot issues, perform maintenance, and deliver reliable, high‑quality service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in appliance repair or related technical field.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and manuals.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and performance issues in major household appliances.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and system checks.
• Operate and maintain a company-provided work van and transport tools to job sites.
• Read, interpret, and apply information from schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Stay current on appliance technologies, repair techniques, and industry best practices.
• Communicate repair needs and options to customers.
• Record service calls and parts used with accuracy.
• Follow company procedures, safety guidelines, and quality standards.
