Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Technical Lead/Senior Appian Developer to drive design, development, and implementation of complex case management and workflow automation in a federal environment. You will lead development initiatives, implement AI-driven capabilities, and ensure compliance with strict security standards.

This role is remote and requires a Public Trust security clearance, US citizenship, and the ability to pass a government background investigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field (or equivalent).
• 7+ years Appian development experience (design, configuration, implementation) on Appian 17.x+.
• 3+ years in a technical lead/senior developer role leading teams.
• Experience delivering mission-critical apps in federal or regulated environments.
• Strong AI/automation interest or experience; AI features in low-code platforms encouraged.
• Proficient in SQL/Relational Databases; AWS cloud experience.
• Solid Agile software development background.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a government background investigation.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust clearance; active clearance preferred.
• Knowledge of FISMA, NIST, 508, and records management compliance.
