Job summary

VetsEZ seeks an Appian Integration Developer for a 100% remote federal healthcare modernization project. The role designs, develops, and maintains integrations between Appian and VA source systems using REST, SOAP APIs, microservices, and databases.

Work with technical leads, developers, architects, QA, and DevSecOps in an Agile setup. Requires a BS in a technical field and multi‑year Appian experience; contingency for US citizenship and clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, MIS, or related field with at least 2 years IT experience.
• At least 3 years with Appian delivery, BPM, integration, or SOA.
• 3+ years designing REST and SOAP web services and integrations with microservice endpoints.
• 3+ years with Java, J2EE, JavaScript, XML, XSLT, HTML, CSS, SQL, and servers like JBoss/WebLogic/IIS/Tomcat.
• Experience with AWS services (Lambda, Step Functions, Secrets Manager, S3, CloudWatch, EC2, ECS) and GitHub.
• Experience with DevSecOps, Agile, QA, IAM tech (SAML, Kerberos, OAuth, LDAP).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the project lead to manage integration architecture, technical specs, and interfaces throughout the lifecycle.
• Lead design and development of system and data integrations between VA source systems and Appian BPM platform.
• Develop secure connections to external systems using REST, SOAP, JDBC, SMTP, CMIS, JMS, Web APIs, and related tech.
• Integrate Appian with microservices, databases, legacy systems, and file-transfer processes.
• Develop and maintain Appian plug-ins, middleware, web services, and integrations in AWS GovCloud.
• Create and maintain Integration Control Documents, interface specs, diagrams, and standards.
• Take on additional tasks to support team objectives and project success.
