Job summary

UST seeks an Apigee Administrator in a remote US role to lead the management of Apigee Edge/Apigee X across on-prem, hybrid, or GCP-native environments. You will deploy, upgrade, and monitor the platform, enforce security, and collaborate with API teams on deployments and lifecycle management.

The role requires strong API gateway knowledge, cloud-native experience, and hands-on scripting in automation tools. US remote location with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on Apigee Edge / Apigee X administration.
• Experience as senior/lead support engineer in enterprise.
• Proven API gateway platforms in production.
• Background in microservices and cloud-native integrations.
• Strong API security knowledge: OAuth2, JWT, SAML, mTLS.
• REST, HTTP, and integration patterns understanding.
• Automation scripting in Shell, Python or Node.js.
• CI/CD tooling: Jenkins, GitLab CI, Cloud Build.
• Monitoring with Splunk, Stackdriver, Cloud Logging/Monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and manage Apigee Edge/Apigee X.
• Handle deployments, upgrades, and patching.
• Monitor API performance, latency, errors, and uptime.
• Enforce API security policies (OAuth2, API Keys, JWT).
• Manage API products, portals, and env configurations.
• Collaborate with developers on proxies and pipelines.
• Integrate Apigee with IDPs, backend services, CI/CD.
• Document configuration standards and runbooks.
• Provide support during incidents and maintenance windows.
• Stay current with Apigee, GCP updates, best practices.
