Job summary

RTX is seeking a Middleware Integration API-SOA Developer to design and implement integration on API-EAI-SOA platforms, including Apigee, Axway, and Oracle SOA. You will participate in production support rotations and collaborate with business partners to deliver high-quality solutions.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and troubleshooting skills, with 5+ years in API/SOA domains. This remote position reports to the RTX Enterprise Services team in Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico.

Qualifications

• University Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline, and minimum 5 years related experience.
• Advanced knowledge of API, EAI, ESB and SOA technologies, with basic understanding of EDI and related supply chain.
• Advanced development knowledge in Apigee API Management, Axway API Gateway, or equivalent, and basic understanding of Oracle SOA Suite.
• Experience with J2EE, XML, HTTP, JMS, SQL, XSLT and/or XQuery.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to the functional roadmap and API-SOA strategy for the Enterprise.
• Provides engineering input into the overall architecture of API/EAI/SOA solutions.
• Designs and builds transformation of integration streams, including B2B-EDI and XML, with stakeholders.
• Supports reviews of design and code for reusable modules and high quality outputs.
• Unit test, integration test and stress test interfaces with vendor and test tools.
• Provide advanced problem solving and technical support, including on-call rotation.
• Serve on 24x7 on-call support rotation for Mission Critical applications.
• Work instructions are in English.
