Job summary

Engine Room is seeking an Accounts Payable professional with a strong procurement focus to join a dynamic, remote finance team. You will manage vendor invoices, W-9s, and 1099s, while ensuring accurate coding and timely payments to support client needs and company growth.

You will review contracts, process e-payments, and assist with month-end close, utilizing Engine Room systems. Ideal candidates excel at problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and time management.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication, including with team members and clients.

• Skilled at managing time and delivering client work on budget.

Responsibilities

• Record vendor invoices using procurement tools, verify sales and use tax rates.
• Set up new vendors and verify accuracy of W-9s.
• Review contracts, quotes, and order confirmations.
• Process client invoices and credit card expenditures in Engine Room systems.
• Review invoices and credit card expenditures for proper documentation and approval before payment.
• Code invoices accurately and answer vendor/client questions promptly.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and e-payments prior to bill payment.
• Process electronic bill payments.
• Maintain W-9s and prepare 1099s.
• Reconcile vendor statements and research discrepancies.
• Participate in month-end closing.
• Maintain thorough files and documentation per policy and accounting standards.
• Assist with purchasing: send approved POs, match receipts, track status, generate reports.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned.
