Job summary

Prince William County Government is seeking a Principal Fiscal Analyst to lead the AP/Disbursements Team under the Asst Director of Finance for Payroll and Disbursements. The role manages weekly payments, 1099 reporting, and travel forms, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IRS forms and company policies.

Ideal candidates bring 6+ years in accounts payable, strong communication skills, and a background in governmental accounting.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of related Accounts Payable experience.
• Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field with 6+ years of progressively responsible experience, including governmental accounting.

Responsibilities

• Lead AP/Disbursements team and ensure timely, accurate processing of County payments.
• Oversee tax forms preparation and filing (1099-MISC, 1099-NEC, 1099-S) and related reports.
• Provide training and guidance on accounts payable, disbursements, and travel processes.
