Job summary

Kakenya's Dream is seeking an Annual Fund Officer to advance fundraising operations totaling $3M annually, with a goal to reach $4M within three years. The role is remote and reports to the Director of Development, collaborating with the President and Communications team to reach annual and multi-year fundraising goals.

The ideal candidate will excel in donor engagement, grant drafting, and multi-channel campaigns while coordinating with organizational leadership and program staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 3+ years fundraising; 2–3 years designing annual appeals and donor cultivation.
• Experience developing fundraising campaigns and donor communications.
• Grant writing and proposal development experience.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and research skills.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Experience with fundraising databases.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Manage donor portfolio; solicit gifts up to $25,000.
• Lead annual giving campaigns and monthly giving initiatives.
• Draft grant proposals, LOIs, and reports.
• Develop middle-donor and recurring-donor strategies.
• Collaborate with Development and Communications teams.
• Coordinate donor events and engagement activities.
• Support fundraising data and reporting needs.
