Job summary

Remote United States-based Trellix is seeking an experienced Android Reverse Engineer to join our global team. This role focuses on deep dive analysis of Android apps and SDKs, employing decompilation, disassembly, and debugging to uncover security risks and guide secure development.

The position requires 3–5+ years in Android-related security work, with hands-on use of Jadx, Ghidra, Frida, IDA Pro, and Burp, plus proficiency in Java/Kotlin/JS/Flutter.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in Android Development, Reverse Engineering, pentesting, app security assessments, or CTF.
• Hands-on experience analyzing and reverse engineering code of malicious Android apps or SDKs.
• Static and Dynamic Analysis Techniques
• Reverse Engineering tools such as Jadx, Ghidra, Frida, IDA Pro, Burp, to perform binary and APK analysis
• Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, Flutter, and other mobile software languages
• ELF (Native Binaries) reverse engineering
• Development of signatures (SQL, Yara, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Deep Dive Analysis: analyze Android apps and SDKs to understand codebase, architecture and risks.
• Reverse Engineering Techniques: decompilation, disassembly, debugging to extract information.
• Risk Identification: identify data leakage and malicious code execution in Android apps/SDKs.
• Threat Intelligence: gather and report threat intel on Android malware and exploits.
• Collaboration: work with researchers and developers to share findings and improve secure apps and ecosystem.
