Job summary

Whatnot is actively seeking Android Engineers to join multiple teams, delivering mobile experiences that connect buyers and sellers on the platform. You will collaborate with product, design, and backend engineers to ship high-quality features at scale, while contributing to both product experiences and mobile infrastructure.

This role supports remote work with the option to be based in one of our global hubs.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience building and shipping Android apps.
Strong knowledge of Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
Experience with reactive programming using Kotlin Coroutines and Flows.
Familiarity with MVVM or MVI patterns.
Comfort in cross-functional environments and data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

Develop high-quality Android features and systems using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
Collaborate with product, design, backend, and mobile engineers to set goals and trade-offs.
Contribute to shared mobile infrastructure and best practices across Whatnot.
Focus on performance, reliability, scalability, and user experience.
Engage in code reviews and technical discussions to raise the bar.
