Speechify is seeking a hands-on Team Lead to own core Android product work, write code, review teammates’ changes, and guide release quality. You will balance technical excellence with people leadership, helping the team move fast while maintaining reliability and scalability.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Product and Design, mentoring juniors, and shaping how the team uses AI to enhance features. This is a remote position within the United States.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with leadership exposure.
• Strong Kotlin expertise including Coroutines, Flow and Android architecture patterns.
• Experience shipping long running background work in mobile apps.

Responsibilities

• Own major features end to end, from design to release.
• Review pull requests and provide constructive feedback.
• Unblock the team and ensure timely delivery.
• Improve release reliability and reduce manual interventions.
• Plan and lead sprints with Product and Design colleagues.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster learning.
