Job summary

BlueInGreen seeks an experienced Analytics Engineer to own the reporting data pipelines behind dashboards for a media and entertainment client. You will use SQL, Python, Airflow, and Tableau to fix root causes, retire unused components, and build monitoring with runbooks.

The engagement is fully remote within the United States, with a clear backlog and weekly check-ins with the team lead; there is no on-call requirement. Your work will emphasize reliability and clear documentation.

Qualifications

• Repair a backlog of stalled pipelines and fix root causes.
• Replace drop-and-recreate table builds with in-place writes.
• Move workflow alerts to a team distribution list.
• Inventory Tableau data sources and confirm downstream consumers.
• Retire unused workflows carefully with validation.
• Build freshness checks for dashboard extracts.
• Write runbooks for each workflow touched and hand off documentation.
• Ship changes through pull requests and weekly reviews.
• Leave pipelines running clean, monitored, and documented.

Responsibilities
