Job summary

Lightspeed Commerce, Inc. is seeking an Analytics Engineer to join the FS Data team. You will oversee analytic and reporting needs, shaping data pipelines, models, and dashboards to support multiple financial services domains.

The role requires strong SQL/Python, data wrangling with BigQuery/dbt/Dataform, and collaboration across functions. Remote, hybrid, or office-based work options are available, with EST/EDT hours in focus.

Qualifications

• Experience building data pipelines and analytics solutions.
• Familiarity with data modeling and data quality practices.
• Ability to explain complex data concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of data environments (GCP) and containerization is a plus.
• Experience with security and compliance considerations (SOX, GDPR) is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Cleanse and transform raw data into business logic for reports and data models.
• Analyze data sources and recommend the best sources to meet business needs.
• Ensure timely delivery of data to the right stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Central Data Team to build pipelines and feed data models.
• Champion data quality and usability across the organization.
• Ensure data availability, quality, and documentation searchability.
• Write, optimize, and maintain queries and scripts with version control/CI/CD.
• Automate testing of data models and add validations.
• Help define internal standards for data models and infrastructure.
• Explain intermediate to complex information to team members.
• Maintain or develop simple reports/dashboards in Looker.
