Job summary

Higharc, a remote-first US company, seeks an Analytics Engineer to own data modeling, metrics, and reporting across our platform for builders and internal teams.

You will design scalable data models in Looker and Observable, partner with engineering to ship data views for enterprise clients, and collaborate with Product and Customer Success to define metrics and build the dashboards behind them.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in analytics, data science, or BI, owning end-to-end work from modeling to presentation.
• Proven expertise writing and optimizing SQL in a business context with strong data modeling fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Looker or Observable.
• Experience with data warehouses and pipelines (BigQuery, S3) and product analytics tools (PostHog or similar).
• Track record building internal and customer-facing dashboards and reporting.
• Ability to manage fast-paced, ambiguous projects with strong organization and independence.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data models and views in Looker/Observable for internal and customer analytics.
• Partner with engineering to ship polished data views for enterprise builders.
• Work with Product and Customer Success to define metrics and build reporting.
• Set direction for the analytics stack and decide where reporting should live.
• Own data infrastructure decisions, including data flows between BigQuery and S3 and changes to product analytics tracking.
• Apply data modeling, statistics, and analytics to identify trends and anomalies in large datasets.
• Build a triage process for analytics requests to prioritize work effectively.
• Serve as the trusted owner of what the data says.
