Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for Physician Practice in a remote role covering Virginia Beach, VA. The RN will provide nursing care in an ambulatory clinic, triage patients, assist with procedures, administer medications and educate patients.

The role emphasizes care coordination, documentation in the EHR, and support for population health outreach. ADN is required; BSN preferred; 1–2 years ambulatory/clinic experience is favored.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• One to two years ambulatory/clinic or medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Current state RN license; NCLEX-RN passed; BLS required; AMB-BC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and perform triage in person and by phone.
• Assist physicians with examinations and procedures.
• Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments.
• Provide patient education and self-management support.
• Coordinate referrals, follow-up, and continuity of care.
• Document care in the electronic health record.
• Support population health outreach and preventive care.
