Job summary

The University of New Mexico is seeking an Alumni Coordinator (Work Study) to keep graduates connected through communication, events, outreach, and records. You will help recognize achievements, promote networking, and encourage mentoring and volunteering within JAG-NM.

This remote, flexible, part-time role supports UNM students while gaining nonprofit administration and event-planning experience.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a degree-seeking program at UNM.
• Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters.
• Eligible for Federal Work-Study funding.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular communication with alumni via email, phone, and social media.
• Assist with planning and coordinating alumni events, networking opportunities, and recognition activities.
• Update and maintain alumni contact information and engagement records.
• Collect alumni success stories for newsletters, reports, grant applications, and marketing materials.
• Support graduating participants as they transition into the Alumni Network.
• Assist with preparing communications, newsletters, and social media content.
• Provide administrative support for alumni initiatives, meetings, and special projects.
• Perform other duties to support the mission of JAG-NM.
