Job summary

DataAnnotation is seeking a Designer to evaluate how models reason about UX and visual design, catching decisions that look fine but fail users, and writing critiques that teach the next generation what good design actually is.

You’ll assess AI design work across user flows, layout, and visual hierarchy, identifying polish failures and accessibility issues a pretty mockup hides. This is a fully remote, flexible role with generous hourly compensation.

Qualifications

• Experience in product, UX, or visual design with a portfolio.
• Strong eye for usability, hierarchy, typography, and accessibility.
• Excellent written English; explanations are the training signal.
• No degree required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI design work across user flows, layout, and visual hierarchy to judge user-centricity.
• Catch the failures under the polish: clumsy flows, weak hierarchy, accessibility issues.
• Write stronger critiques with design rationale when the model falls short.
