Prolific Academic Ltd is building a paid, remote participant pool for researchers developing AI models. After a brief skills check, contributors select from task-based assignments and complete them from home, typically around one hour per task.

Responsibilities include reading, analyzing, editing, and annotating model outputs, and judging how well prompts are handled. This is a self-employed, contractor role with PayPal payments.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable, verifiable professional experience as an AI trainer or on equivalent AI training tasks.
• Excellent attention to detail with the stamina to focus on demanding tasks for up to one hour uninterrupted.
• A reliable, fast home internet connection and suitable personal computer.
• A PayPal account for receiving payment.
• Comfort operating as a self-employed worker who self-declares income.

Responsibilities

• Carry out AI training work such as reading, analyzing, editing, and writing annotations tied to model outputs.
• Assess and judge how well AI systems handle assigned prompts.
• Offer human feedback that contributes to improving frontier AI models.
• Sit a short skills verification test prior to joining the pool.
• Self-manage earnings reporting and other contractor obligations.
