Job summary

Runway is seeking an AI-Native Social Media Creative, a versatile generalist who works natively with AI tools to produce standout short-form content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and X. Your background could be in editing, directing, design, animation, art direction or writing, and you are deeply embedded in AI-assisted creative workflows.

You'll create across formats—from short-form video and motion to design and editorial—using Runway products and other generative AI tools.

Qualifications

• 4 to 8 years of professional creative experience in social, in editing, directing, design, animation, art direction, writing or a combination
• Exceptional short-form editing skills with a strong instinct for hooks, pacing and sound
• A portfolio demonstrating exceptional AI tool-assisted creative output that is polished and intentional
• Deep fluency with generative AI creative tools, used daily with understanding of capabilities and constraints
• Strong visual and conceptual taste across media
• Proven understanding of social media across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and X with trend awareness
• Real-time instincts to spot trends and deliver fast, high-quality work
• Self-direction and creative initiative; proactive in making
• Curiosity about technology; follows model releases and explores new tools
• Comfort in a fast-moving environment with evolving tools and workflows

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality short-form video, motion, design and animation for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and X using AI tools, primarily Runway's own products
• Edit short-form content with strong hooks and pacing from opening to final frame
• Develop concepts and execute finished work from idea through final output
• Create top-of-funnel content that stops the scroll and performs on each platform
• Respond to trends, news and cultural moments with fast, real-time content
• Explore and push creative boundaries of generative AI tools and workflows
• Produce content across brand campaigns, product marketing, social, tutorials and internal demos
• Partner with product and research teams to translate features into compelling social artifacts
• Contribute to evolving creative processes by sharing workflows and best practices as tools evolve
