Job summary

Baxter is seeking a Senior AI Security Architect to lead security for AI adoption across the enterprise. This role sits in Baxter's Cybersecurity organization and serves as the primary security expert for Generative AI, LLMs, AI agents, and ML platforms.

You will partner with teams across Cybersecurity, Enterprise Architecture, Data & Analytics, Infrastructure, R&D, Privacy, Legal, and Quality to establish security standards, governance frameworks, and guardrails needed for responsible AI

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, IT, CS, engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of cybersecurity, security architecture, or enterprise architecture experience.
• Experience securing AI, Generative AI, ML, cloud, or advanced analytics environments.
• Knowledge of AI governance, security risks (prompt injection, data leakage).
• Hands-on with AI platforms such as Copilot, Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Vertex AI.
• Experience conducting threat modeling and security architecture reviews.
• Knowledge of IAM, cloud security, data protection and encryption.
• Strong communication and stakeholder influence.

Responsibilities

• Lead security reviews for AI, Generative AI, ML, and AI agent solutions.
• Define AI security standards, architectures, and guardrails.
• Evaluate new AI technologies from security and risk perspectives.
• Conduct threat modeling, architecture reviews, and risk assessments.
• Establish controls for LLMs, AI copilots, RAG solutions, AI agents.
• Support AI governance with security requirements and monitoring.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Data & Analytics, R&D, Privacy, Legal, and Quality.
• Mentor architects, engineers, developers, and stakeholders on AI security best practices.
