Job summary

Scale is seeking researchers and domain experts to join the Human Frontier Collective Fellowship. This fully remote, 1099 independent contractor role focuses on evaluating and interpreting advanced generative AI systems while collaborating with an interdisciplinary network of leading scholars.

You’ll engage with AI labs and platforms, design domain-specific problems, contribute to research publications, and benefit from a flexible schedule across 10–40 hour weeks with project-based pay.

Qualifications

• PhDs, postdoctoral researchers, and professors with domain expertise in STEM fields.
• Detail-oriented, innovative thinker with a passion in applied AI research and collaboration.
• Experience collaborating across interdisciplinary teams and with external labs or platforms.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on high-impact projects with partnered AI labs and platforms.
• Design complex, domain-specific problems and datasets to evaluate AI models.
• Co-author technical reports and research papers to boost academic visibility.
