Job summary

Outlier, a Scale AI-backed platform, seeks detail-oriented English speakers to work as independent contributors reviewing AI-generated media on a remote, flexible basis. You will compare media to prompts, assess naturalness and clarity, and provide concise, evidence-based explanations to help improve AI outputs.

Assignments may include image/video comparisons and caption labeling, with work completed remotely.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English with strong written communication skills.
• Comfort with natural, everyday conversation and careful media review.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher is an advantage but not required.

Responsibilities

• Hold live, scenario-based conversations in English with AI voice models and assess naturalness and usefulness of exchanges.
• Compare AI-generated images or videos with prompts and determine which output meets criteria.
• Inspect media for issues like distortions, artifacts, flickering, or mismatched audio/video.
• Provide specific written reasons for ratings and document decisions succinctly.
• Label first-person videos by identifying actions and creating accurate captions.
