Job summary

UST is seeking an AI‑Assisted Code Analyst to join a global, remote team. You will review Java and Spring Boot-based apps, optimize performance, and reduce technical debt using AI tools like GitHub Copilot and Devin.

You will document work in JIRA/Confluence and collaborate across engineering groups to deliver scalable software. The role requires 3+ years of development experience, strong Java/Java EE skills, API and microservice expertise, and a good command of English (B1/B2).

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a developer in the required areas.
• Knowledge and experience in AI-powered tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Devin).
• Java, Springboot, APIs, Microservices.
• Java Database Connectivity (JDBC).
• J2EE.
• Maven.
• HTML.
• BBDD Oracle.
• CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and DevOps practices.
• High experience in cybersecurity & Quality (Fortify, SonarQube...) to resolve and reduce technical debt.
• English (MINIMUN LEVEL B1, ideally B2).

Responsibilities

• Develop the required specifications, through the delivery of services and technical components required for its operation with a view of your own development and its integration with other teams and systems.
• Document the solutions in JIRA, Confluence, ALM.
• Analyze and review Java and Spring Boot-based applications to ensure code quality, scalability, and maintainability, and reduce technical debt.
• Leverage AI-powered tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Devin) to accelerate code analysis, refactoring, and documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify performance bottlenecks and propose improvements.
• Support the implementation of best practices in backend and frontend development.
• Contribute to continuous integration and delivery processes.
• Manage requests to other production support teams.
