Job summary

Optum is seeking an AI Solutions Engineer on the Security Operations and Compliance team to design, deploy, and modernize AI-enabled infrastructure across on‑premises and cloud environments. You will design and deploy AI‑powered solutions, automations, and full‑stack apps to support enterprise platforms and governance at scale.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience in languages such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or C#.
• 1+ years of experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and infrastructure tooling such as Terraform, Chef, or Ansible.
• 1+ years of experience developing RESTful APIs and web applications using modern frameworks (FastAPI, React, Node.js, Django).
• 1+ years of experience with Git and automated CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions and platform automations to streamline workflows and address infrastructure challenges.
• Automate vulnerability remediation, patch compliance monitoring, and governance across enterprise scale.
• Evaluate AI trends to inform solution design and architecture; enable scalable AI-enabled tooling.
• Build and maintain full-stack web apps and backend APIs using React/FastAPI/Python.
• Develop IaC and configuration tooling to automate deployments and cloud provisioning.
• Collaborate with security, platform, cloud, and compliance teams to automate verifications.
