Job summary

SaidGig is seeking a remote, part-time software engineer to help improve AI systems through rigorous technical review, prompt development, evaluation, and high-quality training content.

Prior AI experience is not required; your software engineering domain knowledge and writing skills are the core qualifications. You will analyze AI outputs, draft technical docs, and collaborate asynchronously with project leads to meet deliverable guidelines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience authoring or reviewing technical artifacts (docs, architecture specs, RFCs, design proposals, postmortems, code reviews).
• Excellent critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and attention to detail.
• Strong writing, editing, and technical documentation abilities.
• Experience with prompt authoring, AI output evaluation, rubric-based evaluation, data annotation, content evaluation, and fact-checking is valuable.
• Familiarity with AI coding tools is preferred but not required.
• Advanced degrees (Master's, JD, MBA, PhD) from selective universities are highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, review, and improve AI-generated technical content for clarity, accuracy, and alignment with software engineering best practices.
• Create, refine, and evaluate prompts and instructions for AI models to produce high-quality deliverables.
• Assess AI outputs against rubrics and provide detailed feedback on quality, correctness, and completeness.
• Draft and edit technical documentation, architecture plans, RFCs, design specs for AI training use.
• Conduct independent research and fact-check to validate technical assertions and support data-driven accuracy.
• Interpret and annotate data for nuanced software engineering evaluation and labeling tasks.
• Collaborate asynchronously with project leads and fellow experts within deliverable guidelines.
