Job summary

Outlier is seeking detail-oriented English speakers to review AI-generated media from home on a flexible schedule. You will roleplay live conversations with AI voice models, score exchanges, and compare generated images and videos to assess adherence to prompts. You’ll write concise, evidence-based explanations in English to help improve AI systems.

Qualifications

• Fluent English speaker with strong, clear written communication and comfort with everyday conversational speech.
• Excellent attention to detail and the patience to replay or zoom in to spot issues.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher is a plus.
• Able to think on your feet and explain realistic situations in natural conversation.
• Experience writing concise, evidence-based reviews or explanations.
• Able to make clear decisions when both options have flaws.

Responsibilities

• Holding a live, scenario-based conversation in English with AI voice models, then ranking how natural, useful, and clear each output sounds.
• Comparing pairs of AI-generated images and videos and judging which one better follows the prompt.
• Inspecting outputs closely (zooming in and replaying) to spot problems like distorted anatomy, flickering, or misalignment between audio and video.
• Rating each output across dimensions like adherence, quality, and realism, and writing a specific English explanation of what you saw or heard.
• Image evaluations: compare two AI-generated images for the same prompt and pick the better one based on instructions, visual quality, and AI artifacts.
• Video evaluations: rank AI-generated videos against a text prompt, or edited videos against the source clip.
• Video caption labeling: create precise captions from first-person videos, starting from an AI draft.
