Job summary

Pearson is seeking a strategic Lead Specialist- AI Scientist to design, build, deploy, and scale production AI/ML capabilities across learner intelligence, knowledge graphs, and personalized learning experiences.

You will bridge AI research, data science, software engineering, and product delivery, leading Gen AI, LLM, RAG, and agentic AI initiatives from concept to production, with a focus on measurable learner and business outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and deploying production AI/ML systems.
• Hands-on with Generative AI, LLMs, or knowledge graphs.
• Proficiency in Python and cloud-native software practices.
• Experience with AWS or similar cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, deployment, and operation of production AI capabilities.
• Deliver Generative AI, LLM, and RAG solutions with measurable impact.
• Build reusable AI platform services, APIs, and workflows.
• Own end-to-end AI delivery lifecycle from prototyping to production.
• Establish scalable MLOps and AIOps practices.
• Mentor engineers and data scientists; collaborate with product and engineering.
