Job summary

System One is seeking an AI Governance Coordinator to support the enterprise AI governance program, remotely aligned to Eastern Time business hours. The contract role will manage the AI use case registry, conduct risk assessments, coordinate mitigations, and support audit readiness within a regulated environment.

The position emphasizes governance documentation, cross-functional collaboration, and ongoing platform operational support while ensuring timely risk scoring and dispute resolution.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of direct AI governance or AI risk management experience.
• Experience in third-party risk assessments, information security assessments, RCSAs, or privacy risk assessments.
• Familiarity with NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001 and healthcare regulatory requirements (HIPAA, CMS).
• Experience with governance, risk, and compliance tooling.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience as a business analyst, governance analyst, or risk/compliance analyst in a regulated industry.

Responsibilities

• Support the AI Governance Lead in operationalizing the governance program, including risk assessments and audit readiness.
• Maintain the AI use case registry as the system of record for lifecycle, risk, ownership, and value.
• Review risk ratings for active use cases and adjust as needed.
• Issue questionnaires for high- and medium-risk use cases and store responses for audit readiness.
• Track mitigation actions through to formal close-out and coordinate reviews.
• Support implementation, migration, and operation of the AI governance platform.
• Triager new submissions, route to reviewers, and ensure timely risk scoring.
• Draft guardrail documents, process flows, and governance communications.
