Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to partner with clients to design, build, and deploy AI, data, cloud, and digital solutions that drive measurable business outcomes. You will work with stakeholders, architects, data scientists, and engineers to deliver scalable architectures and rapid value.

You will lead discovery workshops, create solution roadmaps, and implement cloud-native apps, microservices, and AI copilots, with a focus on production readiness and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, technical consulting, or related roles.
• Strong programming expertise in Python, Java, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Go.
• Experience developing cloud-native solutions on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform, incl. APIs, microservices, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, enterprise integrations, stakeholder management, and client-facing engagements.

Responsibilities

• Partner with client stakeholders to understand objectives and requirements as a trusted advisor.
• Lead discovery workshops and solution envisioning to translate needs into architecture roadmaps.
• Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native apps, APIs, microservices, and integrations.
• Build Generative AI, Agentic AI, ML, and RAG solutions including AI copilots and intelligent workflows.
• Own technical delivery across client initiatives, ensuring production readiness and outcomes.
