Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to partner with clients in the United States to rapidly design, build, and deploy AI, data, cloud, and digital solutions that deliver measurable outcomes.

You will lead architectural vision, drive discovery sessions, and own delivery across client initiatives, including Generative AI and enterprise integrations, with a focus on production-ready solutions and client impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of software engineering, solution architecture, or related client-facing roles.
• Proficient in Python, Java, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Go.
• Experience with cloud-native solutions on cloud platforms with APIs, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, integrations, and consulting engagements.
• Ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Partner directly with client stakeholders to understand objectives and requirements.
• Lead discovery workshops and solution envisioning to map needs to architectures.
• Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native apps, APIs, microservices, and integrations.
• Build AI/ML solutions including generative AI and RAG-based architectures.
• Own technical delivery across client-facing initiatives and drive production readiness.
