Job summary

PlanSource is seeking an AI Engineer to join our Data Science & Engineering team. You will design, build, deploy, and support AI-powered products and shared platform capabilities for employees, administrators, clients, and internal teams.

This hands-on role focuses on production-grade AI solutions in a secure SaaS environment, with collaboration across the United States and India. You will own features, troubleshoot production issues, and contribute to evolving our AI platform, working with

Qualifications

• Experience delivering production software or AI-powered solutions in a professional environment.
• Strong Python development skills, including APIs, backend services, and asynchronous programming.
• Experience with large language models (OpenAI or equivalent).
• Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation, embeddings, vector databases, and document processing pipelines.
• Experience with orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph or LangChain.
• Experience deploying cloud-native applications in production and working knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL; strong troubleshooting across distributed systems.
• Collaborative work across geographically distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services powering AI-driven user experiences.
• Build and optimize agentic workflows supporting complex business processes.
• Implement prompt engineering, content filtering, and response quality improvements using large language models.
• Ensure secure handling of sensitive information with masking and tokenization.
• Support conversational experiences, workflow automation, and streaming responses.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native deployments; participate in architecture reviews.
