McNeil & Co. seeks an AVP AI Engineering to lead the architecture and development of true multi‑agent systems within Strategic Analytics. The role drives orchestration patterns, production deployments, and measurable business impact.

You will lead onshore/offshore teams, define decision frameworks, partner with Cloud and Implementation teams, and establish standards for reliability and observability across the AI stack.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software or automation engineering experience.
• 3+ years of data science experience.
• 3+ years of people‑leadership experience.
• Proven experience building production‑grade multi‑agent or agentic systems beyond POC.
• Strong track record of developing supervised ML or GLM models with business impact.
• Python programming expertise.

Responsibilities

• Design multi‑agent orchestration patterns (master‑orchestrator + specialized workers).
• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of agentic underwriting and claims automation from prototype to production.
• Determine safe deployment thresholds using precision/recall, calibration, and thresholds.
• Design decision frameworks integrating LLMs, retrieval, ML, rules and human review.
• Collaborate on orchestration entry‑point design for scalable integration.
• Lead offshore teams on agentic patterns and reliability practices.
• Establish coding, evaluation and observability standards for agentic systems.
