Job summary

Siemens is offering a 10-week Summer Internship in the United States focused on production-scale data and AI work for a SaaS platform. You will receive mentorship from data architects and BI leaders, gaining exposure to AI governance and tenant security.

The role starts remotely with onboarding in Raleigh, NC for one week onsite, then becomes fully remote. The internship requires pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in CS, Engineering, or related field, with strong SQL and data engineering

Qualifications

Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; rising juniors through graduates considered.
Strong SQL skills and solid data engineering fundamentals including ETL/ELT, data modeling, and Python.
Hands-on experience with large language models via coursework, projects, or prior work.

Responsibilities

Build and test agentic analytics workflows turning natural-language questions into trustworthy answers using data assets.
Develop context-engineering patterns, including semantic views and curated metadata for LLMs.
Support data governance activities such as cataloging, lineage, and data quality checks across medallion layers.
Write and optimize SQL and data pipelines to support analytics and AI use cases.
Evaluate agent output for accuracy and document findings.
Present work to team and stakeholders at internship end.
