Job summary

Siemens AG in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a Summer 2027 Software Engineering Intern to design, build, and test AI-assisted features in a production SaaS platform. You’ll work beside senior engineers and use AI tools daily while learning scalable engineering practices.

The internship runs May–August 2027. You’ll start onsite for the first week in Raleigh, NC, then continue remotely with onboarding support. Legal US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in at least one: Java, C#, Python, TypeScript, or Go.
• Familiarity with Git, REST APIs, and SQL.
• Curiosity about how AI is changing software development and product experiences.

Responsibilities

• Designing, building, and testing features that incorporate AI-assisted capabilities across our platform.
• Using AI coding tools as an active part of your development workflow.
• Writing automated tests and participating in peer code reviews.
• Debugging production issues and contributing findings to postmortems.
• Collaborating with product managers and designers on sprint deliverables.
