Job summary

Speechify Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer - AI Data to join its AI team and build data pipelines powering model training and next‑generation AI products. You will work on high‑quality datasets at petabyte scale, combining engineering, infrastructure, and research to enable scalable AI.

You will discover new data sources, build reliable pipelines, and collaborate with AI scientists to improve training data and models. This is a fully remote role in a distributed company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with backend focus.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash in Linux environments.
• Experience building and operating production data pipelines and systems.
• Strong problem-solving, initiative, and ability to work independently in ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

• Discover new data sources and build reliable pipelines for training datasets.
• Build and optimize large-scale data-processing systems for quality and cost.
• Collaborate with AI scientists to improve training datasets and models.
• Take ownership of projects from discovery through delivery and continuous improvement.
