Job summary

Speechify Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer - AI Data to join its distributed AI team. You will build data pipelines powering model training and next-generation AI products, handling petabyte-scale data with efficiency and cost-awareness.

You will collaborate with AI scientists to improve training datasets and support scalable model development, taking ownership from problem discovery through delivery in a fully remote, international environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering, backend focus.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash in Linux environments.
• Experience with data pipelines or large-scale data processing.
• Strong problem-solving and independent work in ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Discover new audio data sources and build pipelines.
• Develop scalable data-processing systems prioritizing quality and cost.
• Collaborate with AI scientists to improve training datasets.
• Own projects from discovery to delivery and continuous improvement.
