Job summary

Cohere is seeking a Data Engineer to join our Analytics & Data Insights team in New York. You’ll build production-grade data pipelines on one of the world’s advanced AI platforms, collaborating with researchers and engineers to deliver real outcomes for customers.

You should have 5+ years of experience with Python and SQL, experience with distributed processing frameworks (Beam, Spark, Flink) and modern analytics tools (BigQuery, Airflow, dbt).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building production-grade data processing systems.
• Strong command of Python and SQL.
• Experience with distributed processing frameworks (Beam, Spark, Flink) and large-scale data design.
• Ability to transform unstructured data into performant datasets in relational DBs and blob storage.
• Familiarity with BigQuery, Airflow, or dbt; knowledge of Java or Golang; Kubernetes a plus.
• Genuine excitement about AI and willingness to explore new frontiers.

Responsibilities

• Work directly on new customer experiences built on a leading AI system.
• Collaborate daily with researchers and engineers to drive real outcomes.
• Run end-to-end implementations and translate initiatives into products.
• Partner across research, marketing, sales, and finance to shape Cohere's growth.
