Nu invites PhD students to join the AI Core Summer Internship Program, a 12-week research-focused internship. Interns collaborate with engineers, applied scientists, and researchers on challenging AI problems and lead an end-to-end project blending research with large-scale production.

The program provides a dedicated mentor, access to big data and compute, and opportunities to present to leadership, with exposure to ML, LLMs, and responsible AI.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a PhD program.
• Research focus in machine learning, AI, statistics or related areas.
• Strong programming skills in Python or similar languages.
• Experience working with machine learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Experience designing experiments and evaluating models.
• Experience working with large datasets or training ML models.

Responsibilities

• Lead an end-to-end AI research or applied project that combines research methods with production-scale environments.
• Collaborate with engineers, applied scientists, and researchers across teams.
• Present final research results to leadership and AI teams.
