Job summary

The Resume Database is seeking experienced software engineers to craft AI coding tasks from repositories you know well. You earn US$1,000 per task, and you can complete as many as you like. Tasks support AI model evaluation and training with rigorous checks.

This is a remote role open to any location, with a minimum of one task per week (about 10 hours). You will propose changes, write solutions, and help validate quality through automated tests.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software engineering.
• Experience contributing to public/open-source repositories.
• Strong in at least one language: Python, TypeScript, Go, Rust, Java or C++.
• Proficient with Docker, Linux, Git and automated testing.
• Ability to explain changes clearly in own words.
• Available for at least 10 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Apply via a short screener interview and upload your resume.
• Propose a change from a repository you know and submit a short proposal.
• Build: set up the repository state, write the brief, the correct solution and the grading checks.
• Stress-test: test lazy, incorrect and shortcut solutions and ensure checks catch them.
• Model testing: run your task against leading AI models until strong models fail but a skilled engineer can solve it.
• Review: a reviewer checks your task and you revise it.
• Next task: start another after acceptance.
