Franklin Fitch is seeking a Manager of Development & Automation to lead a small team delivering AI, automation, and software development solutions for a diverse client base. This role combines people leadership with hands-on design, development, and delivery in a fast-moving environment.

You will mentor developers, shape technical direction, and contribute to solutions while driving modern workflows and automation frameworks across client engagements. Remote within the United States.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of software development experience.
• Recent experience with automation technologies and AI-driven solutions.
• Prior management, team leadership, or technical lead experience.
• Comfortable remaining hands-on with coding and architecture.
• Experience building automation workflows and scalable systems.
• Exposure to Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and modern AI tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of developers and automation professionals.
• Design, develop, and deliver automation and AI-driven solutions for clients.
• Build and improve modern development workflows and automation frameworks.
• Partner with leadership to shape the team's technical direction and growth.
• Contribute hands-on to development projects and technical problem solving.
• Support the implementation of AI technologies, including automation and RAG-based solutions.
• Drive innovation and help identify new opportunities for clients.
