Job summary

Verdesian Life Sciences is seeking a driven Account Manager, Sales to support growth across the U.S. region, with a focus on expanding the retail partner network, driving sales of the full product portfolio, and serving as a trusted advisor to growers and retailers.

The role requires strong agricultural sales experience, relationship-building skills, and the ability to manage territory plans, budgets, and forecasts while collaborating with Marketing, R&D, and Customer Service teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional sales experience within the agriculture industry.
• Proven success in a business-to-business sales environment.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to effectively manage territory plans, sales forecasts, and budgets.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and CRM systems.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and willingness to travel extensively throughout the territory.

Responsibilities

• Drive territory growth by developing relationships with new retail partners and expanding existing accounts to achieve sales and profit objectives.
• Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, lead generation, cold calling, product presentations, negotiations, closing sales, and account management.
• Establish yourself as a trusted consultant by maintaining expert product knowledge and providing solutions that address customer challenges.
• Develop and execute annual territory business plans, including sales forecasts, budget management, and growth strategies.
• Utilize lead generation programs, research trials, and demonstration opportunities to build market awareness and customer engagement.
• Organize and prioritize daily, weekly, and monthly sales activities to achieve territory goals.
• Work collaboratively with Marketing, Customer Service, R&D, and other internal teams to share market intelligence and support customer success.
• Monitor and stay current on EPA and state regulatory requirements relevant to the territory.
• Represent Verdesian professionally in the marketplace and cultivate relationships that strengthen the company's reputation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
