Job summary

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona is seeking a Product Owner to partner with business and IT to drive strategic plans and deliver features via Agile methodologies. You will own the product backlog, write user stories, and work with the Scrum Master to ensure timely, value-driven releases.

Qualifications include 3 years in healthcare/insurance with EDI, strong communication, and an Agile Product Owner certification within 12 months.

Qualifications

• 3 years in healthcare or insurance with emphasis on Business Analysis/IT and EDI.
• 2 years experience communicating with diverse groups inside and outside the business.
• 3 years experience in decomposing high-level initiatives to forecast work.
• High-School Diploma or GED required; bachelor’s preferred.
• Agile Product Owner certification within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate projects within time and funding constraints.
• Own and prioritize the product backlog and user stories with the team.
• Decompose features into non-technical user stories for clarity.
• Collaborate with Scrum Master and stakeholders to ensure value delivery.
• Maintain traceability from requirements to features to user stories.
• Participate in backlog grooming, planning, and release activities.
• Answer questions during Sprint planning and Daily Scrum; support QA.
